Integration Options

dotFIT is delivered on a secure, proprietary web-based platform (Humanology) that offers clients a fully integrated, co-branded solution incorporating client business rules, multiple-service delivery options, and single sign-on processes. dotFIT uses the best of modern technology to deliver solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.

Single Sign On
  • dotFIT integrates with the client's web environment, using single sign-on processes when registration and logon are handled by the client's web site.
  • The host site integration services provided by dotFIT support a single sign-on process coordinated by the host site, i.e., a user is authenticated by the host site, which passes the user's credentials to the dotFIT servers when required.
Branding Options
  • Configuration processes allow a high degree of client customization to match look and feel and navigation, providing a seamless experience to the end user.
  • Client logos and other graphics can be incorporated in page headers and footers.
  • Style sheet configuration is used to control fonts, colors, sections, headings, and titles.
Service Levels
  • The user type determines the functionality and data access available to a class of users.
  • Different user types can be configured to match user roles, e.g., member, health coach, administrator etc.

 

Hosting and Security

dotFIT is delivered from Humanology servers using a software as a service (SaaS) model. Humanology uses the best of modern technology to deliver solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.

Reliable Performance, Maximum Availability
  • Humanology operates a fully redundant hosting environment comprising web servers operating as a web farm and mirrored database servers.
  • Servers are hosted at an Level I certified data center provided by Internap in Los Angeles, California.
  • The data center is protected from power failure and network outages by extensive back-up power and cooling systems, as well as network redundancy and diversity.
  • Site performance is monitored 24/7 from locations across the United States.
Content Integration
  • Physical data center security is provided 24/7 and includes guards, closed-circuit monitors, alarmed doors with secure card-key access, biometric scanner, and 'man-trap' restricted access to the data floor.
  • Humanology servers operate behind a managed firewall that provides network security. The servers are certified and support encryption of transmissions using secure sockets layer technology (HTTPS).
  • Access to dotFIT requires a username and password.
  • Encrypted session IDs are established for the duration of a sign-on. This session ID ends as soon as the user signs out. In addition, the session ID will automatically time out if the user is not active on the site.

Authenticated Access for Members
  • dotFIT modules can be integrated with one or more client web portals using the single sign-on interface to provide participant access through synchronized logon.
Flexible Branding
  • dotFIT can be co-branded with client logos, fonts, and colors.
  • Independent branding is supported for each service level, together with optional sub-branding for each end client.
Batch and Real-Time Data Integration
  • dotFIT integrates with existing applications using batch or real-time data import and export processes.
  • Web services and batch import processes populate dotFIT with data.
  • Client administrator personnel and systems have full access to data within the dotFIT Platform through Web service interfaces, online reports, and batch export options.
